Workshop on Solvency II public disclosure – what you need to know
Date: 26/06/2018 12:00
Location: EIOPA, Weshafenplatz 1, Frankfurt am Main

Description

Solvency II stands on the principle of transparency and public disclosure. Correct evaluation and interpretation of the publicly disclosed financial data is of crucial importance.

Therefore, EIOPA invites (financial) analysts and experts to a workshop in which the scope, content, means and meaning of disclosure under Solvency II will be analysed and contributions to enhance the understanding of public information under Solvency II can be made.

Target audience

This event is addressed to (financial) analysts and professional users of publicly disclosed information on insurance and reinsurance undertakings.

Outcomes

By the end of this event, participants will have obtained an overview and better understanding of the Solvency II information that is publicly disclosed, regularly and on an ad-hoc basis.

The workshop should guide participants to the relevant sources of information and help interpreting the information, using practical examples. Based on this, participants should be enabled to form a well-informed opinion and be able to better understand the prudential position of undertakings based on the publicly available information.

Pre-requisite

As some areas may be considered technically challenging, a good basic knowledge of Solvency II, in particular the quantitative requirements, is essential.
