XBRL Taxonomy (version 1.5.2): (zip)

Both Data Point Model and XBRL Taxonomy were developed in accordance with the Solvency II Preparatory Guidelines on Submission of Information to NCAs.

XBRL Taxonomy Test Cases: (7zip)

In order to assure that the assertions behave according to the business requirements, a number of test cases have been generated. These are small XBRL instances which only include facts relevant to the rule under test. They include both pass cases and fail cases which test the correct behaviour of various failure modes.

7zip software can be downloaded free of charge from: http://www.7-zip.org/

Important:

The 1.5.2 taxonomy includes a change to the way that the preparatory taxonomy is versioned compared to previous drafts.

In all versions preceding 1.5.2, the same URI has been used for the namespace and the normative location of the frameworks. Each subsequent version has replaced the last.

The 1.5.2 has a new URI for the namespace and normative location and the old URI (using 2014-01-01) is now associated with the 1.2 release (not the 1.4 as it was just prior to publication).

For referencing the latest version of the taxonomy, you will have to upgrade those references to use the new URI (using 2014-07-23).

If you are currently using the 1.4 taxonomy, you should upgrade to the 1.5.2 as the 1.4 is no longer supported and the files at the normative location for that taxonomy will be downgraded to 1.2.

Preliminary Information on the EIOPA Solvency II DPM and XBRL Taxonomy Framework Architecture

These documents present the current considerations on data modelling and XBRL taxonomy design to meet the information requirements defined by Solvency II.

In particular, they explain in detail the Data Point Model (DPM) methodology and architectural principles which guide the translation of the DPM into the Solvency II XBRL Taxonomy.

A Proof of Concept (PoC) is included.

Although the current publication is not part of a formal public consultation, interested parties are encouraged to provide their feedback to xbrl@eiopa.europa.eu, in particular on topics currently considered open.

Important: Note that the principles, rules and design approaches described in this document and applied in the Proof of Concept are still under consideration. This set of documents falls into the category of early information sharing. It contains non-binding information, and is subject to substantial further changes.
