Public Event of the EU-U.S. Insurance Project on 25 October 2014 in Amsterdam

​​​The Steering Committee of the EU-U.S. Insurance Project will host a public event on Saturday, 25 October 2014 after the close of the IAIS Annual Meeting in Amsterdam.  The event will be held at the Okura Hotel, Ferdinand Bolstraat 333, from 14:00-17:00 CEST.

The public event will include discussions of key areas linked to initiatives of the Project, specifically, supervisory cooperation with regard to evolutions in group supervision and ORSA. The event will also provide further information on recent accomplishments and the future work plan for the EU-U.S. Insurance Project. Representatives of the European Commission (EC), European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), the Federal Insurance Office of the U.S. Department of the Treasury (FIO) and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), will lead the forum.

About the EU-U.S. Insurance Project

The Project started in early 2012, when the EC, EIOPA, FIO and the NAIC agreed to participate in a deeper dialogue and project to contribute to an increased mutual understanding and enhanced cooperation between the EU and the U.S. to promote business opportunity, consumer protection and effective supervision.
