A comprehensive recovery and resolution framework is essential for effectively dealing with distressed insurers, particularly in the current macroeconomic environment. In this context, EIOPA published an opinion in July 2017 calling on the European Union institutions to harmonise existing national frameworks in insurance.
During this seminar, experts from supervisory authorities and industry will exchange views about current recovery and resolution topics, including insurance guarantee schemes. Furthermore, EIOPA will present its work in field of recovery and resolution.
The seminar will take place in Amsterdam on 25 and 26 October.
